Cultivar epithet:  'Edge of Nite'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia orthotricha

Description:  Erect inflorescence; 8 to 14 distichous bracts, crimson with a thick maroon line below green lip, maroon on distal keel, green keel on basal bracts, surface covered with velvety hairs; rachis reddish or pink grading to yellow and greenish or white; sepals dark green distally, white below, tip greenish or whitish; ovary and pedicel white. Vegetation musoid. Height 0.8 to 4.9 m (2.5 to 16 feet).
