Cultivar epithet:  'Gold'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia caribaea

Description:  Erect inflorescence, 6 to 10 distichous bracts, gold over most of of the bract, some shading to yellow on keel.  Green on distal keel, lip and tip, decreasing on upper bracts.  Rachis gold shading to yellow and yellow-white, sepals green distally and white below, ovary and pedicel white.  Vegetation musoid with white waxy coating on stem, petiole and lower surface of leaf blade.  Height 12 to 14 feet.
