Cultivar epithet:  'Green Thumb'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia bihai x caribaea

Description:  Erect inflorescence; 8 to 13 distichous bracts, bright red at base and on proximal lip with dark maroon on central cheek, green on distal keel, lip, and tip, basal bract mostly green sometimes with waxy coating. Rachis bright red; sepals green on distal half and white below; ovary and pedicel white. Vegetation musoid, with white waxy coating on stems. Height 3.6 to 4.9 m (12 to 16 feet).
