Cultivar epithet:  'Guatemala Yellow'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia spissa

Description:  Erect inflorescence; 7 to 13 spiral bracts, yellow with red base, lower bracts with light green along keel and pink tint at base; rachis pink to red; sepals yellow; ovary light green; pedicel greenish-yellow. Vegetation musoid, with leaf blades lacerating into lateral segments. Height 1.2 to 3.6 m (4 to 12 feet).
