Cultivar epithet:  'Halloween'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia hirsuta

Description:  Erect inflorescence; 6 to 7 distichous bracts, orange, sometimes shading distally to light red, basal bract sometimes with green tip; rachis orange, changing to green proximally at inflorescence base; sepals orange with green-black distal band
and white tip; ovary red distally and yellow-orange proximally; pedicel orange. Vegetation zingiberoid. Height 0.9 to 1.5 m (3 to 5 feet).
