Cultivar epithet:  'Red Waxy'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia pendula

Description:  Pendent inflorescence; 5 to 11 distichous to spiral bracts, dull red or pink; rachis pink; sepals white; ovary and pedicel white. Vegetation musoid, white waxy coating on stem, petiole, and lower leaf surface. Height 1.2 to 4.9 m (4 to 16
feet).
