Cultivar epithet:  'Roberto Burle-Marx'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia hirsuta

Description:  Erect inflorescence; 4 to 6 distichous bracts, red, bright red at base; rachis maroon on lower bracts and red on upper bracts; sepals pale to bright yellow with green-black band distally and whitish tip; ovary pale or bright yellow distally and light green proximally; pedicel light green. Vegetation zingiberoid. Height 1.2 to 1.8 m (4 to 6 feet).
