Cultivar epithet:  'Sexy Pink'

Species/hybrid:  Heliconia chartacea

Description:  Pendent inflorescence, 4 to 28 spiral bracts, pink at base and on proximal 2/3 of cheek and keel, with a thick pale to dark green lip and tip.  Rachis dark pink to red, sepals dark green distally to paler green proximally, ovary and pedicel cream.  Vegetation musoid, with white waxy coating on most stems and leaf blades lacerating into narrow lateral segments.  Height 6 to 16 feet.
