Cultivar epithet: 'Dwarf Jamaican' Species/hybrid: Heliconia stricta Description: Erect inflorescence; 3 to 5 distichous bracts, red or pink with green stripe along keel and on tip, very narrow green stripe above and maroon stripe below along lip; rachis red to pink to cream; sepals green distally with white tip and white below; ovary and pedicel white. Vegetation musoid; upper surface with red midrib, lower with paler red stripes along sides of midrib; margins undulate. Height 0.3 to 1.1 m (1 to 3.5 feet). Erect inflorescence; 4 to 5 distichous bracts, red on lower cheek and keel, with broad gold band along lip and tip, basal bract with green keel and tip. Vegetation musoid.
